I know, wildly oversaturated, but it was the
only way I could get the rainbow to show -
but I kind of like the garish effect!!!

Lovely. A spoonful of saturation is the
secret to bringing out the beauty of many
shots.

Now I have never seen anything like this
before. It would be a lovely picture even
without the rainbow. With it, it's
exceptional.

Actually, if nothing else it has shown me the
difference between the monitor in my laptop
and on my PC - it looks positively subdued on
the former.
Thanks all. :)

A rainbow produced by a fairly high sun. The
centre of a rainbow is directly opposite the
sun and so as the sun gets higher a rainbow
gets lower and lower in the sky. More at this

Thanks Atopt for the explanation I was just
wondering about that. I used to think it was
to do with how near the equator you were! I
love this, V. Just magnificent.

I've never seen such a rainbow either. I've
had to use enhancements to bring out the
colors too. The colors are there, they just
need a push. Very nice Victoria.
