Plenty of rain around recently and I was again in my front yard with the trusty 50mm at f/1.8 exercising the eye to see what I could find in the breaking sunlight...

Here's one shot that made it past the cull ;-)

Hope you enjoy this fresh little break...

P.s. for the fellow D40x users out there you can appreciate the fun and games of trying to get the tip in focus doing it manually - one eye on the drop and one eye to that tiny little green dot that illuminates when you're in the magical zone called focus ;-)

A slice of heaven

A small part of the skies above me on hte same arvo today.

As an aside happy for any feedback on my framing here - I kind of thought that the banners above and below looked better here than my usual framing with white and black..
