The 70s!

Taken with my point and shoot at a friends 70's party last night!

Thought I'd post it - as I've been a bit remiss recently on Flickr.
Could be something to do with the fact that I now have TWO Nikon SLRs in the workshop being fixed. One with a bust shutter and another with a ludicrous front focus problem!!

Drive

My drive to work:

I left late and so the traffic was not bad!

Still - too much of this and not enough photo taking!

One shot on my Coolpix every 30 seconds - and the resulting video speeded up x2

Dry capsize?

I was Race Officer at the West Herts sailing regatta again this year.

Tricky conditions for the kids - very windy (strange for this time of year). We staretd with 12 boats (only) and by the end of the third race only 4 were left....and half of those spent a large proportion of the time upside down!!

I took a stack of photos - mostly of interest only to the competitors.

This is my fave - Pete (helm on this 405) was proud that he had stayed dry in all of their capsizes. His face says it all - but his poor crew member (Chris) doesn't look quite so impressed here!!

Actually they both had a blast.

It was a great day.

(Oh - and my son won!!! And - just so there are no raised eyebrows, it wasn't me that confirmed the results!!)

Dusk

Went for a walk round the ressy last night expecting a great sunset - there wasn't though.

This was the best I could get - a distant grab at 300mm

Red eye

Wasn't expecting a tonsil inspection though
