Diwrnod o haf ger Cwm Nantcol, Eryri / Snowdonia, summer 2008
Diwrnod o haf fu - wel hanner diwrnod efallai? Braint oedd cael gweld yr heulwen ar y bryniau - dwi ddim yn hollol sicr o'r lleoliad - ddim yn bell o Bentre Gwynfryn, ar y ffordd tuag at Gwm Nantcol, dwi'n meddwl. Rhowch wybod os medrwch fy rhoi ' ar ben y ffordd' megis.
Wales provides a wealth of changing vistas and landscapes - this is typical of the foothills of Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon - an area known as Eryri/Snowdonia. If you know the exact location of this shot, do let me know as I've not got a good enough map to consult.

Mynydd Pen-y-Fâl o Gilwern ar y gamlas / Sugar Loaf from Mon & Brecon Canal, Gilwern
Golwg gwell ar gefndir du / Best seen on black background
Not quite Fuji-san - but iconic enough for south east Wales!
This was taken not far from bridge 105 on the Mon. & Brecon Canal, where a massive breach occurred exactly a year ago to the day this was taken. A significant investments programme by British Waterways (£7.5m) means that this section and others adjacent to it will be made safe and the canal will open for business by the new tourism season in Easter 2009.

Annwyl garedigion - byddaf bant am sbel fach eto nawr; siwrne byddaf yn ôl, fe dalaf ymweliad â chi os byddwch wedi gadael neges i mi isod.
I'm afraid I'm falling a bit behind with posting and I shan't be online for a week or so, but will pay you a visit when I come back.

Traeth Abererch, Haf 2008 Summer on Abererch beach, Pwllheli
Cofion hapus am chwarae ar y traeth a'r twyni yn Abererch, a'r haul wastad yn danbaid.
Eleni roedd y tywydd mor ddiflas.
The kite struggles in the wind to bring the summer that never came.
Pwllheli means the salty (or salt making) pool. The wonderful bay of Abererch is sheltered and shallow when the tide is in and the waters are warm and salty - such an ideal place for a child to learn to swim, especially when you might meet the porpoise in the bay...but no swimming for me this year.
