Awwwww I'm so sorry you don't remember Liz.
It's a beautiful ceiling, looks more like a
Cathedral to me ;) But then the churches
around here are pretty small ;) LOVE that
blue :) :)

a church (honest!) but the ceiling was

You did?!!? That's sooo coool. As strange as
it may seem I love sleeping over at our
church, staring up at all the pretty icons on
the ceiling, and waking up to the smell of
churchiness (either insence or burning
candles; both are great =)). I wish you guys
could see the way it actually looked but I
guess this is the only way to show you...

 Well, it was actually in the vicarage (?) of
a catholic church. They rented half of the
upper floor. Didn't like it one bit, had a
bell tower smack next to my bedroom window
:-(

The church is Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa.
It is on Sussex Drive across from the
National Art Gallery. It was built in the
first half of the 19th century.

with stars charm me, and i love to imagine
your "sleepovers" in a church under
icons, with incense!!!!
i connect sleepovers with too many
girlfriends drinking too much cola,
hysterical giggles in the middle of the
night, and lying wide awake on a cot over a
concrete floor under a low ceiling in my
family basement
