This breaks my heart. Do you know how the
rebuilding has come along? I know there was
some money sent in from other countries, but
I'm not sure it's enough after so much
happened.

Fatima, have been a pleasure to have you
visit the photos and leave your kind
comments. The picture stirs the emotions and
for a second even stops us thinking for us
alone for a while, I consider that job done
partly at least.
Yes, the money was PROMISED by lots of
countries and quite a portion of it was sent
in too. Now, I am referring to a year old
National Geographic Article which highlighted
the fact that except Switzerland and France,
no country has ever fulfilled its promises of
donations as agreed during the first talks or
meetings or whatever political names do they
give. USA, not so supririsingly, has had a
record of sending only 40% or so of total
promised donation in the form of couple of
installments and so on to the affected places
and areas.
But I am not complaining or anything
because the very muslim nations remained
silent for over a week until UAE finally
announced to send in donations and other
material for the rescues etc...
The most surprising thing has been the
highly positive response from our own people,
which, according to many cynics and skeptics
was astounding but strange. Because we are a
nation who'd be complaining about our corrupt
government, immoral traditions and all that
and would never cease bullying our own people
for whatever reason. But if I haven't been
part of this or haven't seen the relief
activities myself, I would have got a laugh
but it's true that the general public donated
millions and millions of rupees in a matter
of few days only.
The problem was sustainable-relief
activities which I am beginning to doubt that
it has not been achieved. The winter's here
and many people are still homeless,
ironically. Many people built homes out of
their own will disregarding Govt's
recommendations according to their
traditional way of making homes and all that.
Ah, I am not sure what'd happen to those
who're still left out there... I just am not
too sure, dear tima.
Thanks everyone else for your kind visit
too.

This is a very touching photo.I cannot
beleive these political fretarnity, why they
dont understand when help is required
urgently , why delay...
same is the situation in India also. They
come afterwards and say we will give this and
that and after some time just forget
everything.
Your pic is very touch and touched my heart

Thank you guys for taking out time and
checking these pictures and looking into the
stories and lives of these people. It's
perhaps true that only a father can
understand the true pain this man's feeling.
I just pray no parent has to go through the
pain of such young deaths infront of their
eyes in such helpness as theirs. I also pray
that their fellow men don't turn their backs
on them. May this moment leave us only
stronger and firmer in our beliefs of one
humanity and one world. Amen.

The soul of this picture creates a such a
deep impact of profound loss, loosing your
loved ones in just few minutes times … you
can listen to the cries … the call outs … you
can feel them … BUT you can’t dig them out …
this is the most agonized moment for any
human being ... for any father , husband,
son, mother, sibling or child .... can't just
stand this picture ... and ameeen to all the
prayers ...!
