when less traveled was just right

“I shall be telling this with a sigh -
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
~ Robert Frost ~
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.”
~ Lord Byron ~
“Let us learn to appreciate there will be times when the trees will be bare,
and look forward to the time when we may pick the fruit.”
~ Anton Chekhov ~
If you go down in the woods today . . .

I remember this!!! Ah, and one of my favorite
quotes (Frost) and philosophies for
life....love following lesser traveled paths
and especially love charting my own path by
following inspiration and that inner voice.
Sometimes the "middle" of adventure
looks more like hard work and can be filled
with uncertainty, but stay the course and
when you look back on the experience, you
will seldom regret where you've been......

I love the poems you find! I wish I had more
time to read - I love to read but with poems
I have to be able to sit and digest them to
appreciate them!

Although he is not real, I would not want to
meet him on a less traveled path at night..
for a moment, I think my heart would stop :)
Lovely choice of words too, as usual!

"Hey bob -a -re -bear, said the little
wee bear".
I adore garden ornamentation - but this
might be a little over the top

Less travelled is always right...just a hint
of a path is enough and the rest will come as
we proceed...there is no other way to find
ourselves than to meet what comes our way
with open eyes and heart, I feel. That is the
adventure of life.
I'm not so sure what exactly I would do with
a bear in front of me, but stillness might
help.
Thank you for the inspiration.
( interesting that I put up my picture
"into the untrodden" just before
yours)

What a serendipity that this morning I found
both you and SJ posted photos of similar
theme-- into the forest. How inspiring the
Robert Frost's quote helps me to enjoy and
think about your image even more-- the path
less traveled by has made all the difference.
I think this is true to those who DARES to
take a new challenge, a new route and a new
path. As a artist, you must be taking more
new paths than most people do and your art
works tell me that it is worth taking a path
less traveled by, dearest Antoinette sis.
The bear in your image doesn't seem to be so
eager to fill up its jar with honey. It seems
to be taking its time enjoying the moment and
the new discovered world! Way to go! ;-)

Wonderful composition and great quotes! Food
for the soul, eye and mind. Thanks for your
imagery of the stones on the beach. Received
the thoughts tiy sent through the
stones/ocean. Yes, being at the beach is
peaceful and rejuvenating. I love the sound
of the ocean. May you receive this
visualization of a shower of rose petals
filled with love softly raining upon you this
day.

He's either slightly tipsy or has an itch on
the side of his nose!
The first line of Byron's verse resonate
with me...

Chris, you totally crack me up every single
time! I'm so glad you are back! There is
some kind of growth on his nose, so no wonder
it's itchy!!! Thank you for the wonderful visualization!
I'm going to bed with a vision of rose petals
raining on my head! Yes, Lisa, that's true, but I've always been
a child at heart, so Miss Ellie is just
reinforcing that frame of mind! Ah, I can see why you would love that
food-related quote! He was amazing ~ actually, the whole place
was pretty cool! thanks again for visiting...will see you
soon!
oh, my favorite award! thanks, Sistah! I
can't wait to see St. John's post! Can you
imagine filling this jar with honey! Yes, think that quote is the most popular to
date! Thanks again for stopping by, my
friend! Maggie...love that we both posted quotations
about untrodden territories! Thanks so much
for always adding so much insight to my
posts. Oh, Linda, I would LOVE to see what you
would come up with should this bear wander
into one of your magnificent storylands! I know . . . could it be a touch of the
unknown? Welcome back, June! I always love when
friends return . . . Hey Girl . . . howz my monkey doing? He was pretty tall! But Goldilocks was
nearby, so all was safe! Thanks Carol! I try to find simple poems . . . I, too,
cannot absorb the deep, metaphorical ones! Gee, 4Real, you sound like a College
Professor (tee hee) . . .
