Oh honey - that sucks. Sometimes doctors can
be so insensitive - I've not had the best of
luck with them either. Sending you lots of

Dear Antoinette, I am holding you up in my
prayers and sending positive thoughts your
way. I am inspired by your work here and the
positive results it has apparently already
done....and despite cringing at your pain, I
couldn't help but smile at that last quote -
you are something else, my friend! Logic in
this? Not always.....sometimes there are no
answers to the "whys" But I am
reminded of a few lines from a song I
recently listened to.......
The sun is gonna shine tomorrow
The good and the bad both feel the rain
Faith, hope and love outlive our sorrow

Dearest Antoinette sistah,
Just got back home and got online! This is
such a creative X-ray image and it came out
from your burning pain like a phoenix
dancing! The colorful stripes reminds me of a
traditional Chinese dance in which the
dancers use lots of long colorful stripes to
dance (without tripping over them!). I
believe you will be dance again without any
pain! No worry about commenting! Wish you a
quick recovery!! BIG BIG HUGS from me &

Oh, just got back up on line after my
computer problems shut everything down for
three days...I saw your beautiful X-ray just
now and was looking forward to reading your
words....but ouch, ouch, ouch... so sorry to
hear about your present condition and all the
pain you are in. I can only offer my healing
prayers and all the healing thoughts I know
and send them every day by magic carpet. Is
it possible for you to see a chiropractor, or
a Chinese acupuncturist for your pain? I have
had wonderful results with both. Mri does
not hurt and there is no radiation, but the
sound is rather disturbing. A good way to
know though exactly what is wrong.
I wish with all my might for the pain to
subside...

Dearest Antionette.. I am so sorry that you
are unwell and still in pain :( I am deeply
saddened that your cries for help have fallen
on ears that just won't hear :( They 'may'
be the doctors - the ones who have done the
training and schooling.. but no one.. and I
mean no one, knows your own body like you do.
Be strong and keep persisting until someone
sits up and listens to you love. Someone will
hear you.. and help you!
I understand what you're going through and
I care. Chronic pain can be so debilitating.

Dearest Friends: I WISH I could give a
better report. Your precious, caring, sincere
friendships mean more to me than anything on
earth. I'm still in horrible pain and
standing as I write this. They say this
healing process takes time. I'm searching
for the *lesson* in all of this. I know
*patience* and appreciation for my *virtual*
friends head my list. LOVE you all. Thanks
for continuing to visit. When you see me on
your streams, you'll know I'm able to sit
again.

My word of advice (that you didn't ask for
but I am going to give anyway)....
DON"T avoid the MRI.... NEED THAT (and
if you go to a neurologist .... who you NEED
TO SEE) they will do one to rule out
herniation into the chord... (SPINAL
CHORD)..... which may need surgery to prevent
permenant pain and damage.
PLEASE Please get a referral to a
NEUROLOGIST... dear dear friend!!!

July 17, 2008
Thanks to I went and did it....had the MRI this
morning at 8:00, followed by a consultation
with a physical therapist.
Diagnois:
Left and right herniated disks. Treating
this with bed rest, minimal exercise and,
unfortunately, not sitting nor flickring in
any great length. I'll try to post another
image in a day or two.....meanwhile, thanks
from the bottom of my heart for everyone's
support, prayers, and even being with me in
spirit while in the "tube" . . .
there was enough room for all of us, and all
the fear I had around the
"claustropobic" issues were nil . .
. thanks to the help of a little xanax,
earplugs and ear cushions! I actually felt
like I was an early caveman listening to
fellow musicians trying their
"clubs" at rock music! Again, my
deepest love to all. I'll write when I
can....still standing to type.

troubles. I'm just home from visiting family
down south, so have only just heard of your
pain and suffering. Do hope it is easing and
that some help is at hand. I truly believe in

I was listening to NPR this morning and heard
a story of a Dr. who, as a little joke (NOT)
left a temporary tattoo on a woman's hip when
he perfomed surgery for her herniated disk. I
read all the comments from your friends to
make sure that wasn't YOU!!!
OMYGOODNESS, I'm sooooo sorry you are in
such pain. And please accept my apologies for
not seeing this sooner. I sure wish we all
weren't so far apart, so all your flickr
friends could take turns helping you. Or at
least one of us could loan you a laptop so
you could flickr in bed? ;)

imagine the scary days and nights you
