At the bottom... the middle tools look like
women in a Goddess pose... or maybe they ARE
Goddesses! Good morning... dear friend!

WOW!! What a beautiful display of work
tools!! A unique "portrait" of a
reliable man who works around the house.
I like the third quote very much. Actually
the third quote reminds me of a game I often
play at the entertainment park-- hammering
those moles!! It's FUN! :-P
Happy Father's Day! Here we celebrate it on
August 8th because the double 8 sounds like
BA-BA homophonous to the Chinese characters
for father.
You are my winner!

Of course you can be Sasha for a few days!
You can be anything you want for as long as
you want! Ah, you have an entertainment
park? I would love to see you hammering
those moles! Love the reason you celebrate
Father's Day on August 8th!
ah, Thanks Kai!
WOW, I would have loved your Grandpa!
Oh, I see them! Horray! We have a lot of
Goddesses in our workshop!

I'm drooling at the efficiency, neatness and
profusion of this tool board. Awwwwww, this
is soooo lovely! Bet it belongs to a man.
Us girls tend to jam things into pots and
squash them into the larder or whatever,
somewhere between the baked beans and the
mustard. Sigh. I am so envious!
and now I have just read the tags. A toast
to your Dad's workshop. Such a fine place
:-)

Perfection of discipline in this beatifully
ordered universe...my father also had a board
like this in the basement, but as he was away
so much my mother was in charge and it turned
into something like " The hills are
alive" is describing. Everything was
there somewhere, but in a creative spot and
often having been used in unique ways.
Love the light that touches the tools here
and the shadows that expand their spaces.
I read somewhere that if our only tool is a
hammer we treat everything as a nail.
I wonder if life is not really about
learning to use all our tools in ways that
create harmony, unity, beauty and peace
within and without.
You bought our much for us to think about,
thank you!!!

Dearest Maggie and Caroline: You can't
imagine how touched I am with your
compliments and observations about discipline
and order which all seem to have come through
with this image! Last summer I spent 4
entire months, day in and day out, organizing
our garage! My husband's father had left
many tools which were scattered all over in
different containers! I had the joy and
pleasure of working for hours discovering
treasures and giving them all a home! So, Caroline, this actually belongs to me,
although my husband contributed most of the
elements for this hardware collage!
This pegboard was retrieved from an old
store, 20 years ago! As artists, we are
wicked recyclers, and always thrilled when
something finally finds a home! I even used
leftover paint from the inside of our house
to cover the garage walls from floor to
ceiling!!! So, to Maggie, "Three Cheers for Perfection of
discipline" ~ yeah yeah yeah! And
another horray to your idea about using our
tools for HARMONY, UNITY, BEAUTY AND PEACE!
Oh, Good, Susan . . . I'm glad these spoke
to you!
I loved this image for father's day too,
although I'm just an enamored by these tools
as any man!!!
Hi LU! Hope you had a Happy Father's Day!
Your children are BLESSED!!!
THANKS, Peggy!!!
Thanks again for your visit and invite!

I am so impressed that this is all your hard
work. It must give you such pleasure to use
the tools in this beautifully organised way.
Surely your father in law would be delighted
if he could see it too :-)***

many ways!!! What a pleasant photo. :D I
think I could hang out in your garage all day

*sigh* I've looked at this a long time .....
thought of many things I could write or
comment on .... and then as I begin, I am
completely overwhelmed!!! YOU KNOW my close
relationship with my dad .... and YOU KNOW
his love for creating with his hands, using
tools. I have many of those tools now .....
have a workbench that the two of us built
together ..... have the memories of working
shoulder to shoulder with him ..... so maybe
YOU KNOW what I am feeling right
now......thank you.....

Ah, you can't have enough tools, brushes,
pens, pencils, paint, glue, ink and stuff,
ha, ha, ha!
In my humble opinion that is.
What I am most amazed about, is how neat and
organized this man is.
Unlike poor Blunder, who can never find
anything, because he makes a mess!

BUT, SIR BLUNDER, this MAN is a WOMAN . . .
a CALLIGRAPHER, a lover of tools, brushes,
pens, pencils, paint, glue, ink and
stuff...and her name is
COLORFULEXPRESSIONS!!!!!
Oh, thank you so much for your faithful
visits!
Yes, I do know, and thought about your dad a
lot when I posted this.
Oh, come visit! You should see the REST of
the garage!
Yes, I get all choked up thinking about
Richard's father seeing his tools all
organized, especially since I never had the
opportunity to meet him. From what Richard
has told me, we had a lot in common . . . and
organization was a HUGE shared interest!
I'm still waiting to hear about the golf
game!
The only time I ever spent with my father
was in his workshop...and only for a few
hours...he missed his calling in life. But I
do have a small doll's bed he made for me
when I was a little girl!
