Half Dome For the First Time

Looking for the first time over Half Dome and Tenaya Canyon, or as John Muir spelled it, Tenaya Cañon. Hiking from Bridalveil Creek on day two, we passed through a spliced boulder, rounded a corner, and came upon this view out of nowhere. When I heard another "whoa" while taking pictures I knew my hiking buddy had arrived.

	Winged Foot says: You're welcome. Yes, it was very invigorating. Heights don't bother me that much, even the 45+ deg angle rock surface that disappears into thin air when looking backwards. I don't recall using gloves but it's likely others were using them or dropping them. :) Posted 16 months ago. ( permalink )
