Solitude

Betta (or siamese fighting fish) in a wine glass. Taken for the #dslr photo challenge entitled "Solitude".

It really would be a sad lonely existence to live you life alone in cramped conditions like this. Contrary to the popular misconception, bettas are not happier when kept in cramped conditions. Like other fish, bettas are healthier, more active, and will grow larger when kept in a roomy tank. This betta does not live in the wine glass. I took advantage of bowl cleaning to take the picture.
