I was rocked out of bed this morning and our
power just came back on about 7:30 PM. What a
day!

Yeah, it was quite a day. After I took the
picture I shut off the camera, had a sip of
coffee and thought it had a little too much
caffeine in it! The rocking started within
seconds after I took this picture.

Pink Hibiscus...
I was surprised at news that the strong
earthquake had happened in
Hawaii this morning. I prayed for the
safety of your family.

Mahalo to hokulea for setting up the group.
What a great idea!
Thank you harry, joe, 3c, sandy and chee*
for your concern and kind regards. It
definitely got our attention! But here on
Oahu we were mostly just inconvenienced
without power all day. Glad it was not Monday
morning when everyone needed to be on the
roads! It is of course the Big Island that
suffered damage and our thoughts are with the
residents there.

That must have been like riding a buckin'
bronc! Glad you're okay. I'm a friend of
Heather's and live in McMinnville, Oregon. I
lived in Hawaii 1958-60. Lived on side of
Punchbowl, Spencer Street. Kate Sorensen

Nice picture, I just found it now...3 months
later. I was a crewmember onboard the pride
of Aloha when the earthquake happened. It
was an unusual sensation. We didn't know
what it was at first. We first thought one
of the bow thrusters blew out....but we
quickly found out the truth.
